On this week’s episode of The Sector, We interview Gareth Kirkby and discuss the “Charitable Chill.” Gareth Kirkby who wrote about the CRA and the Harper government’s crackdowns on charities and advocacy groups. His thesis started a national conversation about the nature of the charity – CRA relationship and cast some serious questions about the ideological differences between the Harper Government and many progressive charities. If you care about social justice, charity effectiveness, and the power of politics to silence alternative viewpoints, be sure to listen to this episode.
